A polished granite is achieved when the stonemason continuously buffs the stone, using fine polishing pads. This process brings the granite to a remarkably consistent glossy, reflective finish which has been one of the most popular choices for modern fireplace hearths.

 During the sealing process all the small pores of the granite are worked away, leaving that superb high gloss finish that defends from moisture and is difficult to mark.
