Quarried around county Kilkenny in Ireland and naturally a fine-grained very dark grey carboniferous limestone. Our Irish fossil is honed for a more natural, matte finish, and is our most exclusive stone.

 

With around 370 million years in the making, each cut is wholly individual, and can showcase rich coral like fauna and prehistoric shellfish fossils.

Almost marble like in appearance when polished our Irish fossil is one of the most compact sedimentary rocks, making it more difficult to mark and stain. When honed, the pastel shades of blues blacks & greys set it up for a perfect partnership with your fireplace or stove installation.
